Speedo Gaothalehwe
Speedo Gaothalehwe was born in Kanye in 1952. In 1974 he went to work in the mines in South Africa. On his return to Botswana in 1976 he began to paint and draw and attended classes at the National Museum and Art Gallery. In 1985 the National Museum provided him with a workshop and a supply of materials for a year. Largely a self-taught artist, he has exhibited in group exhibitions in Botswana.
