Victor Sousa
Victor Sousa was born in Maputo in 1952. Some of his works are signed under his name Noba Ngay. He went to South Africa to find work in the mines and took up the plastic arts at the age of 20 and attended courses in South Africa, Brazil and Portugal. He had an attachment to Antonio lnverno’s School in Lisbon and has taught at the Visual Arts School in Maputo. He has shown in individual exhibitions and collective exhibitions in Mozambique, Angola, USSR, East German, Brazil, Algeria and Portugal, and in ‘Art/Images in Southern Africa’ at the Kulturhuset, Stockholm, in 1989.
